While in California we decided that we also needed to go to the beach.
The weather was nearly perfect, and the children were totally ready to have some fun!
The boys played in the water while Isabel promptly started digging a hole.
DaNae graciously lended a hand in the digging of the hole
The boys decided that they didn't care how much sand touched every surface of their body, so I helped to bury them.
Isabel and Brynne were occupied for nearly the entire day digging their fort. It turned out to be about 2 feet deep by 3 feet wide. It was a decent sized hole!
Max attempted to complete his work out on the beach:
-1 mile run
-100 pushups
-200 squats
He was dedicated and finished most of it
Before leaving the beach, we decided it would be polite to fill in the huge hole the girls had dug.
These three monkeys decided it would be amazing to jump in the hole as we filled it. Crazy kids!
On the way home from the beach we stopped in SanLouisObispo. There was a candy/soda shop that had to be visited, and then of course a pizza place that was calling our names.
No, we did not drink the ranch or bacon flavored soda!
The pizza was the perfect meal for the end of a day at the beach. So glad Brynne and DaNae got to come with us! Even more glad on the drive home, as my eyes were getting a little heavy.
Awesome day!
