Taylor Creek Trail

Took a fun little jaunt up Taylor Creek, which is on the back side of Zion, Kolob Canyon exit.
The kids love to hike in the water, and so this was a less crowded alternative to Kannaraville, or The Narrows.
It was nice!

Love spending time in the Nature with the little people!
(Especially when they're not whining)

Steve Miller Band August 2nd

My mom wanted to go to a concert, so she bought all of us tickets and we went to a concert.
Peter Frampton, and Steve Miller Band
It was fun to spend the night with my parents, and hear the kind of music they used to jam to.

My parents also treated us to dinner before the concert at a place called R&R Barbecue up at traverse mountain. It was really tasty, and super nice of them to treat us to a wonderful pre-anniversary celebration!  Thanks Dad and Mom!

Horsetail falls July 28

Horsetail Falls in Alpine

Kind of a rainy morning hike that had cleared up and was beautiful on the way down.
If you've heard about this hike, you know that it is pretty much straight up the side of the hill.
So... the fact that it was a little overcast was perfect because other wise it would've been a dreadfully hot uphill battle.

The kids were pretty cranky, but they pushed on, even in the rain.

 Finally we reached the falls.
They were really quite spectacular!
Of course having been on many adventures, it was not the best I've ever seen, but it was worth the battle.
 Partner's in...
I'm gonna go with nature

All smiles on the way out

This was the sky on the way down, not a storm cloud in sight.

Such a lovely time!
Thank you Father for such marvelous creations!
(and the trails that lead to them.)

Pioneer Day

When Reece has the day off, we must take advantage...
Drove up past Heber, then past Kamas, to The Provo River Falls Trail.
It was gorgeous!

I told him to pose...

I love to stack rocks...

 Awesome hike!

After our hike we went down into the Heber Valley, and enjoyed a little pioneer day parade, and some fireworks. Well, technically, we left right before the fireworks started, but we saw them from our car on the drive home.
