An amazing day!

Wow, this was an awesome day! I started the day off with sweet hugs and kisses from my husband Maurice, and all my sweet little darlings. Reece cleaned the kitchen to make sure everything looked lovely. After getting Max off to school, and kids to the sitter (thanks Sara), it was off to a delicious breakfast with wonderful friends at Kneaders. They had the most delicious french toast I've ever partaken of. "D-lish!"

Here's the girls. 5 of us celebrated a September birthday.
Celia and I share the same special day :)
After breakfast, I was able to go to the temple. What a great day to thank my Father in Heaven for blessing me with my life. I enjoyed the sweet peace that only he can give. I also got to take some pictures. What a beautiful (odd shaped) temple. I loved it!

After the temple, I chatted with Sara for a bit, and then went to get the kids from school. Watched my favorite Law and Order (I was so happy they weren't re-runs.) and waited for Reece to get home from work. Reece got home about 5. He walked in singing and carrying a ginormous chocolate cake. I had to ask him to stop singing because he's loosing his voice so it sounded terrible :). Love that guy! He took us all out to dinner, and then took me shopping to buy something I wanted.
The night ended with basketball which always makes me happy! I'm always so grateful to amazing friends and family who always make mine a very special day. Especially thankful for my parents who brought me into the world, and cared for me for all these years. What a huge calling in life to be a parent. "Thanks Dad, and Mom!"
One last thing, I had to photo journal all the yummy treats I got yesterday. All my favorites!

Hillcrest school carnival

We had a lot of fun tonight at our school carnival. The kids played a few games, got faces and hair painted, they got to go on a train ride, and some swing thing. We also ate some good food, and saw some good friends. Maurice couldn't make it because of a long day at work. The poor guy missed out on J-dawgs famous hot dogs. They were yummy! We appreciate all the hard work dad does for us, and maybe he can come next year. Just took a few pictures at home before we washed up for the night.

On a Sunday afternoon

This evening we drove out to springville to check out the campsite for our ward camp out. It's very nice, and if the weather stays decent we'll be in for a lot of fun! I brought the camera so...

The water was a little cold

The ride home got a little crazy...
What a wonderful Sabbath!

Izzy

Just a few more pictures of Isabel's cute new hair cut.

She loves it!

6 inches?

Little miss Isabel always wants a hair cut. She has beautiful long curly hair, but I know that if it were me I'd want it off too. So we did it.

Before & After

Here's a few pictures of our little bell, since her hair-cut.
I do miss her hair long, I don't miss combing it. Love this little cutie.

Honey, will you get the kids ready for church?

I'll think twice before asking that question again.

Really, this was just for fun. Reece is in charge of getting the kids ready every Sunday because I go to choir. He does an excellent job. (most of the time.)
Thanks Maurice, I love you.

At heart

So I had to post this. This is what Isabel really wanted to wear to school on her first day.(I told her no.) She convinced grandma to buy her a clone wars back pack, and she has a matching T-shirt. The girl is crazy about Anakin.

No matter what she wears, she's still a cutie.

Kindergarten

Isabel was so excited to start kindergarten, and today was the day. She wanted to make sure she was on time, and through the excitement I could tell she was just a little nervous. She asked me over and over, "well what are we going to do in kindergarten?" She is such a sweet girl. I hope she has tons of fun!
Here's the "first day outfit."
Here's Isabel with Mrs. Headman
Isabel walked in like she owned the place. She found her backpack cubbie, and then her desk, and settled right in. (She made sure I got a picture of her freshly painted finger nails.) Isabel has a few friends from pre-school in her class, which made her excited. She'll have a great time!

Love you big girl!
