Uh, anyone watching Joe?

Tonight I had a basketball game. I play with a bunch of ladies in a league. Good times!
Anyway enough about me. Reece brought the kids tonight because it was a 6:30 game. The kids watched the game with Reece, and kinda played on the bleachers. Well we won our game and as we were getting ready to go, guess who comes up to me with a bloody head? Poor little Jo-Jo.

Again, I wasn't watching my child so I don't technically know what happened, but Max said "I don't know how but he fell and cracked his head on the floor again."

The worst part was that we just took the stitches out today, so it was split again (not too bad). Dr. Reece used some steri-strips, and we'll hope that it continues to heal properly. Sorry little Jo-Jo.

Joe was a total stud, letting dad fix up his cut! Good job little buddy! get better quick!

Birthday fun???

Well, today started out great until about 10:30.
I took Max to school, and then Joe and Isabel and myself went out for breakfast.

YUM!

After breakfast I asked Isabel what she would like to do. She wanted Chuck E Cheese, so off we went. We were having lots of fun, and then this happened:
Joseph tripped. I turned around to look at him and he was holding his head as blood was gushing from his fingers. WOW.
That's all I really could say. I panicked, and ran into the bathroom with him trying to rinse the cut, and then someone got me some towel to put on the cut. As I applied pressure while running out to the van, a very nice lady rounded up the other kids and helped me get them in the car. Wow, again. Here's some pics

He fell asleep while we waited for the doctor. Poor buddy.
Uh, creepy picture. This is after the drug, his eyes stayed wide open, but his whole body was just stiff, and still. Really freaky for me.
Dr. Hooker, he was awesome!

After he came out of the anaesthesia, he was a little loopy, but very happy.
I really am glad that we have modern day medicine and the facilities to treat our innocent children. I really did not know what to do besides get him to the "doctors." Thank goodness for awesome friends who help when we loose our minds, and parents and friends who pray for everything to be fine. This is a first time for me (stiches), so hopefully I will be ready for the next time. (well, hopefully there won't be a next time. But if there is!)

I hope the rest of the day will run smoothly, and sweet princess Isabel will be able to enjoy her special birthday number 5.

For Sharley

Looks like I haven't blogged for a while. My little sister informed me that she needed some photos, so this is what I came up with. Enjoy.

Jo-Jo says "what are you guys doing?"

Oh, o.k., I get it

And here's the finale...
Joe found this on the kitchen table, and well you'll see.

Love it!

Blech!!!

Starting Thursday morning and still going...sick kids.
I feel so bad for them because they've each taken their turn hurling.

Joe has been lethargic all day today, and yesterday. He started out with runny diapers, then throw up all over everything on Friday night, now runny pooh all over himself all the time.

Isabel threw up the most (twice at Sara's (sorry Sara) then 4 more times through out the night...dang girl!) Now she has terrible congestion.
As for Max, he kept saying, "I feel fine." Then last night it hit, all over himself in bed, and then twice again today.
This post has really been quite disgusting, sorry! I just want to remember the trials in life, because they truly make me stronger. Get better soon sweet angels!

New Years... Party?

Well, we must be getting old when we can't even make it till midnight. We invited some of our friends over for some fun and games before the drop of the ball. Girls won the game, and that really was the highlight of the night!

Donny and Sara were getting their drink on. "Cheers!"
Tawnya, Tua, and Lil siah just barely keepin' the eyes open
And here's my sweet husband who fell fast asleep shortly after this picture was taken
Sorry to our friends who had to fight to stay awake at our "rockin' New Years party." Maybe next year we'll get some rock stars to keep us awake. Hahaha.

Here's to a prosperous and healthy 2010!

Yay, Christmas is here!

Christmas morning was wonderful! Kids slept in until about 8:00, and when we came upstairs there were a few gifts left on the fire place from Santa. Thank you Mr. Clause, we love our toys. I tried to capture the look on each child's face. Didn't do a very good job, but you'll get the point.

What a magical morning. I love my little angels.

Of course after we were done playing with toys, and eating breakfast, the Browns came over. We got to open more presents, spoiled children! The gift of the day was the announcement that Papa and Grandma are taking all of us to Disney World in March. WOW! Thank you so much!
Joseph was in love with the new hoodie that Papa and Grams got him. He also loved his nerf gun.
Maximus the little ham posing with his new Transformers T-shirt
Lauric, in her tinker bell costume.
Here's Sharley, and Jonah with all the kids
Princess Bell
Awe, how cute

We also did a gift exchange/white elephant. One for the men, and one for the women. The men had a $10.00 spending limit, and the women had to bring a gift that they already owned that was special to them. Reece received a Surfer magazine (which he gave to Stan) and a family movies pack, and some beef Jerky. I, got something really special that was probably really hard for the giver to let go of. It was the little princess movie staring Shirley Temple. This gift was given by my mom who was trying to be tricky. I guess in the movie, at the end, Shirley Temple get's a quilt for Christmas. So low and behold, I also got a quilt.

Wow, thanks again Mom.

After eating See's candy, and yummy homemade dips all day... we decided to make more food. Turkey dinner what a treat! Thank you Dad and mom for a wonderful day of presents and food and fun!

Dad loves to just rip those legs off that Turkey!
Mmmm, and I love Turkey dinner for Christmas.
So after Dinner we played our traditional Nertz game( Kudos to Jonah who played with my dad, and they won!), and then got to bed for an early trip to Vegas the next day.
(Vegas to take Sharley and Jonah to the airport)

Some other fun things we did while in New Harmony:

The kids loved to snuggle with Papa, and Grandma for movies.
Here's matching pajamas for all the baby girls
Don't ask
Max had fun frosting and decorating some cookies with Mavis
Oh my, these boys are crazy! Or maybe just proving their manly-ness.
In, and Out... Not just a burger.

Another fun thing we did while at grandma and papa's house was taking the quads to a secluded hill to go sledding. I didn't bring my camera to the hill so here are the before pictures:
Maley
Lauric, Maley, Max, and Conner
Big tough Joe, with the pink boots.
Isabel, and Lauric. Snow bunnies!King Maximus!

Well wasn't that fun! Can not wait until March for our trip to Disney. Also looking forward to the next snow fall in N.H. so we can make a trip up to our new spot. My oh my, what a very Merry Christmas.
