FRIDAY: Isla Mujarez

Friday... shopping day. The island was beautiful!
Stopped in for a few Pina Colada's, Happy Hour!!!

We also found a stand that sold my mom's fav. treat... some yummy mangos with chili sauce. Upon a return to our resort, we all went swimming, and relaxed. Friday night My parents, and Matt, and Missy all went out for a very nice dinner. The kids and I chose to stay home and watch Lion King with a big bowl of Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream. Yum yum.

Saturday was check out at 11a.m. so before that we went down to the pool for a we bit of sun, and one last dip in the pool. Pretty much right when we got up to our room after swimming, it started to rain. Perfect timing.

Our flight arrived home at 8:05 p.m. and my sweet Reecy was there to pick us up after a long week. The kids and I were so excited to see him, and we got to give lots of hugs when we got home.

Thanks mom and dad for such a wonderful time in beautiful Cancun.

What a great weekend.

Well it was a wonderful weekend. It all started on Saturday (well besides Sharley's surprise visit on Friday, but I already wrote about that.) So Saturday, Reece took me and the kids out. It was my choice, so I decided to go to Chuck E Cheese to let the kids run around and have fun.

After all the fun we got to go to one of my favorite's for dinner : Sweet Tomatoes. Mmmmm... yummy salad.

Now Sunday was Max's primary presentation at church, my sweet Dad and Mom drove all the way from New Harmony to spend the day with us. Max was super nervous but he got up there and said his part flawlessly. (the clip below is at our house before church.)

Next Is Monday of course...The day started out with a shopping extravaganza. (My mom stayed with me while my dad took off to Calif.) I decided to stop at the good will first to see if there were any good deals. I'm glad we stopped cause we found tons of sweet deals. After shopping we went to the Elephant bar for lunch. It was delicious, and it was with my mom, so I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you Mavis, and Sharley for calling, I love you two so much. We had to bring Max to school, but after that it was out for more shopping. This time we had a special mission. We were going to find a ceiling fan. We finally found what we were looking for at Lowe's, and soon we will have light in our living room. Thank you Mom for everything!

So as if I hadn't been blessed enough my sweet friends Heather, and Laura had tried so hard to do something nice for me. After all the planning, we did it! We got rid of all the kids (except sweet lil' Jo-Jo) and went out for a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. It was delicious, and we even indulged in a piece of White Chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake. Thank you two so much for planning an evening of peace and quiet and good company.
(left Heather, right Laura) Thank you so much! (no they're not twins, just sweet sisters)

After getting home from dinner, and picking up kids, Reece had gotten me a little something, and we got to sit down and watch a movie he had picked up. We also go to enjoy a piece of angel food cake that my mom had made for me before she left. (Reece and I both crashed before the movie was even over. haha). It was an amazing day, and I'm so blessed to have such amazing family and friends. I also don't want to leave out all the folks that called me yesterday. Thank you for brightening my day!

Surprise!

Today my little sis came in from Denver to say hi. She brought me the most beautiful flowers, and some really yummy looking cupcakes (mom probably put her up to this...tryin' to sabotage my diet. haha j/k). We miss Sharley since she moved a few months ago, and we're glad that she had a few minutes to stop by and say hi. Sharley also brought some really cute things for the kids. They were really excited to see her also. Thank you Sharley, we love you!Not just any cupcakes..."princess" cupcakes

Beautiful! Really pretty colors too.

Mr. Incredible

Watch out all "bad guys", incredimax is here to save the day.

Flex

Found this costume at the good will for $3.00, and had to buy it. I thought that even if he didn't like it for Halloween he could use it to play dress-up with Isabel. After all, he's kind of sick of dress-up's since we only have princess dresses. haha j/k.

Summer vacation :)

Hey, I was looking at old pictures this morning and came across these pictures from our trip to Provo this summer. We went the beginning of Aug for about a week. We stayed with our good friends the Atuaia's, and we got to do a lot of fun things.
First off we got to see a lot of old school Hayward folk at a wedding we went to. Cameron Cook. I got to see his aunt Michelle Keil, who used to be my beehive teacher. We saw all of Cameron's family at a B.B.Q. on Friday night, and also at the wedding on Sat. at the Timpinogas temple.
After all the wedding stuff, we got to spend quality time with all of our best friends up in Provo. Toiaivao's, and Atuaia's all got together with us, and we did our favorite thing... eat treats, and play games. We had so much fun, and it reminded us of the good ole' days.
While in Provo, we took the kids over to B.Y.U. Reece wanted to show them where he went to college, and we also wanted to look around and go to the book store and stuff. We had fun!

The kids all had a blast jumping on the tramp in the Atuaia's backyard.

Here are the three amigo's checking out a clip on Utube.

Here's a pic. of the kids with the "Y" in the background. (on the mountian :) )

And here they are again with the bell tower in the background. So that's it in a nut shell, can't believe I forgot to write about one of our only family vacations this summer. We had fun! Thanks to our friends for making time to hang out with us.

Autumn red, or pink?

Well, we finally chose a color for the wall in the living room. It's called Autumn red. In the picture it looks great, but in real life it looks a little pink. Which is fine, I guess. It matches the color of the flowers on the couch pillows. I had to do two coats which was a pain in the butt. You should have seen me on the top stair of the ladder. Also in case you didn't notice...we got a new little shelving unit, and we're still undecided about where to hang things on the wall. If we ever decide, I'll update the picture. Plus, sooner or later we're going to paint the other walls in the living room ( a khaki/tan color) and the dining area. We are slow ( and here's my excuse: "it's hard w/3 kids" haha ) but eventually it will be finished.

Oh yeah, I finished the trim in the kitchen. I also found some dust collectors at a garage sale, so I threw those up there. What do you think?
