Here's Max playing chess with my dad. It appears a little unfair to have two adults against a 5 year old, but I guess Max had Papa in a tight spot.

We had so much fun with family that we forgot to get on the road up to my dad and mom's house. Before we knew it, the time was 7:00 and there was a total snow storm in the making. It took us a little less than an hour to get to the folks house (normal trip time 25-30 min). We actually had to park about 3 miles from their house because there was too much snow, and from there my dad bussed all of us in with his four wheel drive. It was worth it though because when we finally got to Grandma and Papa's house this is what was waiting:
The tree was beautiful, and filled with presents. The circumference of the tree was extended by about 6 feet because of the mass amounts of presents they had. Crazy, and exciting. The kids wanted to dig right in, but we made them wait until the next day. Boo-hoo.

All of the things that Missy makes are amazing, but the cute things she made for my kids really take the cake. Max got a frog and a spider(he's named the frog, Fred, and the spiders name is Biggy. Where did he come up with those names??? Don't ask me) Isabel got a cute little dolly with purple hair. (Since Max named his she had to name her doll... Princess, I know, how original) Joseph loves his little penguin, and I got a home made purse (not pictured but equally wonderful) (Thanks Missy!) Here's a pic of the kids with their treasures:
Speaking of making things, I have to brag on myself for a minute. I made my mom a lap quilt to go in her room to match her little window seat. Not my best work but I think it turned out o.k.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, my Dad broke down and bought a Wii for all of us. The kids loved it (especially Max), and all the "big kids" had lots of fun with it too.
And as if all this was not enough, with all the snow we got in N.H., we also got to go sledding right outside my parents house. AWESOME!!!

I am so grateful to all of our family for all the gifts, and special memories that were made this Christmas. We had such a wonderful time, and we will never forget the memories made in N.H.
