Red ribbon week

This past week at school was red ribbon week.  Each day had a different fun way to say no to drugs.  I did not get pictures every day, but I got a few.

The kids had fun this week, and I had a little talk with them about how "they will never do drugs... or else."

UEA Hike... Yay!

Well, every year here in Utah we get a "fall break."  That's where all the hunters get to go do their dear hunt.  We non-hunters like to take our kids out into the great out doors.  This year Reece got to come along so we had a great time.  Oh, and it was his birthday :)

Here's Jojo with his bud Kanyon.  They stuck it out together.  Joe made it 2 miles up and in, and back only needing assistance at the very end when he told me... "Mommy, hold me, my legs wont walk anymore."  Cute boy.

We had a great time, and enjoyed our company.  Thank you Father in Heaven for providing a beautiful landscape, and warm weather, for a most enjoyable day with family and friends.

This past Monday, we took out our Halloween decor, and went to town.

Trick Or Treat

Football

Max is really enjoying this football season.  He had a little trouble getting excited at the begining of the season, but now it's always on the brain.  This picture below shows how Max sizes up to the other boys.  There are only 2 kids smaller than him.  But dont let that fool you, those little guys really can bring the pain.

 Max was finally on the near side, and I remembered I could take a video.  All he does is make his block, but still exciting to see him out there making sure to do his assignment.

This game was against Provo, and one of our good friends plays for them. The boys thought it was cool to play "real" football against each other.

So proud.  We had a scrimmage this last Wed. night where Max got an interception, and almost returned it for a touchdown.  I missed the game because Joe's been sick, but I still feel proud of my little man.

Good job Max, you are awesome!

Grandparent lunch

Thursday was a day for grandparents to come to school to have lunch with the kids.  My mom just happened to be in town so the kids were happy to have a "Wendy's" picnic lunch with Grandma.  Even though it wasn't very long, the kids really enjoyed the time spent.

Max's Inca carnival

Max has been studying about the Inca civilization, and last Thursday they had a carnival where they traded all the cool things they made, for (paper) fruits and Vegetables.

While the kids go to school, Joe and I just have all the time in the world to do the craziest things.  We have so much fun together, I just love it!

Labor day fun

Yesterday we wanted to hike the Y, but dad had too much work to do, so I decided to take the kids on an easier outing by my self.  We drove up the Provo canyon, and stopped at Nuns park.  We then continued on to walk up to Bridal Veil Falls.  Here are some pictures

 After getting all wet in the freezing cold waterfall, the kids got kinda loopy

Later in the evening, we invited some friends over for a small barbeque.  Once dinner was finished we headed over to the Atuaia's for, probably our last, marshmallow roast of the year.  It was a blast.  There's something almost heavenly about melted chocolate inside of a perfectly roasted marshmallow.
