Honey, will you get the kids ready for church?

I'll think twice before asking that question again.

Really, this was just for fun. Reece is in charge of getting the kids ready every Sunday because I go to choir. He does an excellent job. (most of the time.)
Thanks Maurice, I love you.

At heart

So I had to post this. This is what Isabel really wanted to wear to school on her first day.(I told her no.) She convinced grandma to buy her a clone wars back pack, and she has a matching T-shirt. The girl is crazy about Anakin.

No matter what she wears, she's still a cutie.

Kindergarten

Isabel was so excited to start kindergarten, and today was the day. She wanted to make sure she was on time, and through the excitement I could tell she was just a little nervous. She asked me over and over, "well what are we going to do in kindergarten?" She is such a sweet girl. I hope she has tons of fun!
Here's the "first day outfit."
Here's Isabel with Mrs. Headman
Isabel walked in like she owned the place. She found her backpack cubbie, and then her desk, and settled right in. (She made sure I got a picture of her freshly painted finger nails.) Isabel has a few friends from pre-school in her class, which made her excited. She'll have a great time!

Love you big girl!

Max's first game

The Lone peak knights were our opponents, and they were awesome. We tried our best but were unable to come up with a win. We had a little fun, it was a little frustrating, but always fabulous watching your first born take on a new challenge. Overall, Max said it was fun. He told me, "I liked to tackle," and "I wanted to try running back." Right now Max plays offense and defense, all he wants to do is sack the Q.B.. Hopefully next week we'll be able to get the ball out of the pocket. Good times!

Pre-game tackling drill
Just waiting for game time
"Huddle up"
Get ready,
Go!
Half time oranges, ... MMMM!
Back to blocking
Good game everyone!
Snacks, and overview
Good game little dudes!

Something new

Just about 3 weeks ago, I decided it was time for a change. I went to my hair stylist, and said "hook a sister up!" Well this is what she did. (By the way, thanks a bunch hair lady!)

I think it turned out just lovely. Reece really likes it. He didn't recognize me at first, as was the story for most of my friends. You know the double take. Well this is me now, I think I've been a blonde for far too long.
Peace out!

First day of 2nd grade

Isabel had her evaluation for kindergarten this morning, so she got to come to school with Max, and check things out. Max was excited but also nervous. He always worries about what others will think. "I don't want to wear those shoes, ... someone will laugh at me." He's so funny like that. Isabel picked the red dress because it was Grandma'ma's favorite. Cutie.

After school I was informed that Max liked his class, he had already finished his homework, and that he got some rock star glasses from his teacher. (who by the way was "pretty cool.") Here's the little rock star now:

What a goof!

Tackle football???

Well it's finally here. Reece has been dying to get Max into the bigs for a while, and here we have it. He does look so cute in his little tiny pads and helmet.

Here's our little Jo-Jo trying to be like his big bro. The helmet is so big that its smashing his eyes shut. So cute!

Let's not forget miss Isabel, taking control of the situation with dad's whistle.
Max loves to tackle anyone, and he thinks he's pretty fast. I just love to see him smile when he shows me how sweaty he is under his helmet. Max and his team have their first game on Saturday. We'll see how it goes. Good luck buddy.

Play group at the splash pond

During the summer, our ward had a play group that we attended occasionally. The most recent activity was at the splash pad out in A.F. area. It was a little cold and overcast outside, but the kids still had a blast!

Here's to the Hillcrest 1st ward. Woot woot! Party time!

It's raining, it's pouring...

Out of no where today, it started to pour. We decided it would be fun to go out and have some fun.
Until lightening strikes, and we all make a run for it.
Oh what fun rainy days can be.

Thanksgiving Point

Two dollar Tuesdays can not be beat. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the children's gardens at Thanksgiving Point. There were lots of cool things to look at and play with.

Noah's Ark splash pond
Building station
Man-made water falls
Everyone say Cheese!
Thanks Tawnya for always inviting us on your little excursions. We had a great time, and wish we could've stayed longer.
(We had to leave early so I could go to enrichment. Dutch oven cooking could not be skipped:)
