Wouldn't it be great to spend a week and a half in Arkansas, come home to do laundry for a day, and then hop back in the car to drive another 12 hours to California?
Well, that's exactly what we did.
Reece's family was all getting together for Father's day, and so Reece decided to take a few days off of work, and drive with us out to Hayward. It was a lot of traveling and kind of crazy getting everything together for me, but it was so totally worth it.
While in California we got to give dad some cards, and treats for Fathers day. Reece really is the best father in the whole world! Reece always makes time to play with his children. He is always joking around with them, and he always tucks them into bed at night. They love the attention he gives them, and so do I.
On a little bit of a sad side note, Reece's dad had to go into the Hospital the day after we arrived. It turns out that all is well, and that his breathing just wasn't right, so we're extremely greatful!
So...Instead of going to the beach to celebrate, we all got to go to the hospital for hugs and personal time. It was nice that we all got to have a little more personal time with Grandpa/Dad Blackwell, but it was sad to see him in pain.
When we weren't at the hospital, we were finding ways to stay busy...
It was super fun to see all of Reece's family! We love to go back to our home town, and remember a life that seems like decades ago.
